Artificial intelligence (AI)
We see more and more AI generated images in our daily work. In order to continue to appear as a serious partner to agriculture where product quality and animal health are paramount, we here show a guide to where and what we use AI for in our choice of image material in the Group's marketing.
Basically, we use the AI technology that is built into Adobe Photoshop, which can solve most needs a long way down the road and optimize our graphic designers' time by quickly generating a realistic proposal for what might be missing in an image.
In short, we only use AI to extend images, remove disturbing elements or insert objects that can improve the surrounding environment. We therefore do not change either the people or animals that appear in our materials - unless the skin needs to be smoothed, pimples removed or other things that can refine the expression.
Based on the image of the two colleagues working at a computer, it is highlighted how we concretely use AI in our daily work.
Please notice
When it comes to pictures, we use real pictures, taken with a real camera. As it appears on the page of our official image style we always want to show real farmers, animals, machines, plants, etc. That means that we never use pictures that are generated by artificial intelligence.
We can, however, clean up a picture, make it bigger, etc. with AI which you can see some examples of below.
Examples of how to use AI in Adobe Photoshop
We wish to remove the Lenovo logo on the laptop and the yellow sign as well as the paper on the desk. Besides that we wish to add more ceiling.
With a few attempts with the 'Generative Fill' tool we have cleaned up the image and added som more ceiling that looks realistic.
Finally, we can add a green plant by marking the lower left corner of the picture with the marquee tool and then type 'green plant out of focus' in the 'Generative Fill' tool. After a few examples we get a nice and realistic result.

By making the canvas of the picture bigger and then mark the areas on the left and right of the original picture, we can use the 'Generative Fill' tool to fill out the new, blank space - even without typing what the generator should generate. Please notice that the best way is to take one area at the time.
On this picture there are too many cows, but we can remove some of them with the 'Generative Fill' tool.
Just mark one cow at the time and let the AI tool do the rest - even without writing what the tool should do. Finally a tree has been added by marking the place and typing 'old oak' in the 'Generative Fill' tool.
What we don't use AI for...
We do not use AI for any kind of unrealistic rendering of animals, farmers or crops that can be perceived as frivolous, such as our feed turning animals into superheroes, giving them supernatural powers or in any way giving them human characteristics.
This applies for ANY pictures - regardless of whether they are for internal or external use.
